The U-remote technology also offers tool-free assembly. Fast module installation is possible due to the use of the “sandwich” modular construction. U -remote modules have LEDs, with option for fast and easy control and diagnosis.

The system consists of fieldbus couplers and various modules. In this product range there are couplers of remote inputs/outputs like Ethernet, EtherCAT, Modbus, Profibus, and Profinet versions. Weidmuller U-remote portfolio includes a wide range of modules, such as, for example, safety modules. They have the OSSD outputs and are equipped with short-circuit detection and a wire-breakage feature. These modules meet the high safety requirements and ensure the emergency-stop for output modules. Besides security modules, also the Weidmuller power-supply modules to provide output voltage 24VDC and to feed 10 A in the input and output path, monitored by a diagnosis display are available. In addition, the range includes also modules for analogue or digital inputs and outputs, as well as a special module for analogue inputs designed for the temperature recording.
